Adam qualified from Newcastle University in 2012 and joined the team in Haddington in 2013. He enjoys all aspects of dentistry and is currently developing his skills in implantology. As such he is currently undergoing post graduate training at the world renowned Harley Street in London.
Outside of work Adam enjoys cooking, and spending time with friends and family.
Mark qualified from the University of Birmingham in 1991 and worked as a Junior House Dentist and an associate dentist before returning to academia to study a PhD in Cell Biology at the University of Warwick.
He worked as a Postdoctoral scientist in Edinburgh then as Associate Professor at Maryland University, USA, researching Inflammation and Immunology.
Mark returned to practice in 2011 and has worked as a dentist in both NHS and Private practice. He takes a holistic approach to his dentistry and his calm chair-side manner has been well appreciated by patients. When not working, he enjoys family time with his wife and 3 children, plenty of beach walks and the occasional round of golf.
Sarah graduated in 2010 from the University of Aberdeen with BSc Hons Biomedical Sciences with Physiology. Following this degree Sarah decided to pursue a career in dentistry as a post graduate, graduating from Aberdeen with BDS Dentistry in 2014.
She spent 18 months working in the public dental service as one of only 2 dentists on the Isle of Islay. Sarah is currently doing her course in restoring dental implants. She also enjoys working with nervous and anxious patients, and her friendly calm approach helps make patients feel at ease.
Outside of work Sarah enjoys spending time in the great outdoors with her family and friends, yoga and cooking.
Dawn’s journey into dentistry began with a passion for helping others, starting as a dental nurse before earning her BDS from the University of Glasgow in 2014. She then completed an intensive two-year LDFT training, gaining experience in oral surgery, paediatric, and restorative dentistry across hospitals, general practices, and public services.
Her kind and gentle manner helps her patients feel at ease, guiding them through their treatment with empathy and confidence. Dawn’s true passion lies in minimally invasive dentistry and has completed both the ClearCorrect accreditation course and masterclass to be able to provide teeth straightening using invisible braces.
In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and travelling.
Ailsa qualified in 2011 with a BSc in Oral Health Science from the University of Dundee. She has previously worked here at Read & Watters and is excited to being part of the team again. She is passionate about her role as Dental Therapist in the team and her ethos is that "prevention is better than the cure". She believes in tailoring your visit to best suit your needs, providing warmth, education, and effective treatment. Ailsa’s friendly and calm approach aims to help you achieve a better and healthier smile.
Her interests outside of work include spending time with her family, hill walking & board games.
Kerryann is a registered dental nurse who joined the practice in 2013 with 10 years of experience. In 2017 she was promoted to position of Practice Manager in Haddington and now keeps Haddington practice running smoothly.
